The Spot

Thomson is THE place to be if you’re a foodie. So many eateries pop up here and the latest edition is Nunkkot. The korean dessert cafe offers the ever popular Bingsu in a variety of flavours and even dessert toast as a warmer option.

 

What I Had

I wasn’t sure which flavour of Bingsu was good so I went with what I was familiar  with and got the Mango Berry Bingsu ($18.90). After which I had the Cheese Injeolmi Toast ($8.90).

The Cheese Injeolmi Toast was surely something I’ve never tried before. The toast was sweet and chewy and complimented the vanilla ice cream with the nuts and  chocolate sauce.

The Mango Berry Bingsu came with mango ice cream, freshly sliced mango topped with chopped nuts and berries. It being my first time trying Bingsu, I wasn’t sure what to expect but this was quite the delight. A frozen treat most definitely worth the brain freeze! The finely shaved ice just melted in my mouth like butter and the ice cream and fruits blended so well!

What I Loved

The quaint little cafe is quite the spot for catching up with old friends over delightful desserts. Though there isn’t much seating space, the cosy atmosphere sure does make up for it. Finally having caught up with the Bingsu craze, I am definitely heading back to try the Choco Brownie Bingsu!
