23 Jumpin

The Spot

Behind the tinted doors of The Commerze, surrounded by industrial buildings and offices is the hidden gem, 23 Jumpin. The eatery charges no GST nor service charge and even has individual menus for lunch and dinner which made it an excellent joint when I recently celebrated the birthdays of my close friends.

What I Had

Being a large group, we ordered QUITE a bit. To start off, we got the Cheese fries ($8) and Mushroom pizza waffle ($14) while we got an Iced Matcha Latte ($5.50) and Thai Iced Milk Tea ($5) for drinks.

The Mushroom pizza waffle, as the name implies, is a warm, soft waffle with the toppings of a pizza. Complete with an abundance of cheese, this was DIVINE.

The cheese fries was oozing with generous amounts of cheese & mayo and were indeed very satisfactory. While the Thai Milk Tea was rich and full of flavour, the same cannot be said for the very much average Matcha Latte.

One of the mains included the Hamburg Steak ($15) which came along with a side of salad. Despite being quite savoury, we were quite let down to find a simple beef patty hiding underneath all the cheese instead of a traditional steak burger.

Although such a simple dish, the Bangers & Mash ($8) were exquisite. The bratwurst sausages were beautifully laid out on a fluffy bed of mashed potatoes while swimming in a sea of rich onion brown sauce.

The Mentaiko and Smoked Salmon Pasta ($19.80) which was on their dinner menu, came with any drink of your choice + soup of the day. The smoked salmon complemented the mentaiko well while balancing out the creamy base flavour.

The Truffle Infused Creamy Mushroom Pasta ($15), exuding with the signature truffle fragrance, coupled with extra creamy sauce, was my absolute FAVE.

For the Bacon & Honey Baked Ham Pasta ($12), the savoury pasta was tossed in a tasty tomato base and bountifully topped with chopped bacon and ham bits.

The Eggs Benedict ($14) served with poached eggs, honey baked ham, and spinach on an english muffin topped with a yummy hollandaise sauce was indeed both filling and delectable.
