Amongst the many trendy destinations in Changi, this is one for the creative diner. The menu boasts a wide array of different dishes but the highlight of it all is the “Build your own Platter”. I love places that give their customers the flexibility and autonomy to create their own dishes, giving each a tailored dining experience. Plus, they have the cutest napkins (as demonstrated by my boyfriend) and their place mats are even more endearing with tips and tricks of one’s, you guessed it, table manners!
What I Had
With each platter you order, you get to upgrade at $5.80 for a glass of Iced lemon tea (usually $4), dessert of the day and a soup of the day which luckily for us happened to be a scrumptious, lip-smacking, Truffle Mushroom.
For the first platter, we got Cajun style marinated whole chicken leg ($8) with Mushroom Ragout ($4) & Eggs ($4). While the chicken leg was indeed wholesome, the savoury mushrooms won a special place in my tummy.
The second platter had Buttered Mashed Potatoes ($4), Spaghetti Pomodoro ($4) and Striploin Steak ($8). With hearty cuts of striploin steak and a rather fulfilling bowl of spaghetti, this platter was definitely more satisfying for me. Not forgetting, of course, the mashed potatoes which quite literally melt in your mouth, HEAVENLY.
What I Loved
A spot with a theme? I’m all ears! With something as nostalgic as “table manners”, you are bound to get the conversation going as soon as you step in. With their fancy decor and super attentive staff, this one will surely peak your interest! In addition, with an outdoor dining option, bringing your date here won’t seem like a bad idea especially when you get to discover their table habits and etiquette.
