Situated in central Bukit Merah, you will find a homely halal joint serving up casual dining with a twist. Their menu offers a wide range of cafe ‘staples’ like burgers and pasta along with their very own range of ice cream flavours!
What I Had
Treat yourself! – to their Black Jack burger ($15) made up of a juicy beef patty topped with an amazing black pepper sauce and a fluffy bun accompanied by a serving of potato wedges to whet your appetite.
The Smoked Salmon Eggs Benedict ($18) was an absolute treat! The perfectly poached eggs and delectable smoked salmon, paired with tasty brioche toast had me almost drooling. Not to mention the unsuspectingly good salad with pumpkin seeds that had a delightfully tangy twist that balanced out the entire dish.
What surprised me here was the range of tea they provided which not many spots offer. A pot of Lemon Ginger Mint Tea ($6) was large enough to serve two which was indeed quite satisfying with a dash of sugar syrup.
Finally, for dessert, I got the signature Butterscotch Soufflé ($14). The soufflé came along with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and chocolate sauce to sweeten things further. Not being too sweet yet rich in flavour, definitely a sinful way to end the meal.
What I Loved
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. Who doesn’t love a cafe with no GST nor service charge? To add to your delight, they even offer free wifi! This cosy corner unmistakeably checks all my boxes.
