The Spot

Situated in a quaint little part of Ang Mo Kio, this bistro draws in a regular flow of patrons. So much so, attempting to secure a table without a reservation, is almost impossible. With an industrial-like theme and layout, the bistro serves a yummy spread of savoury goodness. Not to mention, they have their own heavenly selection of artisanal ice cream flavours!

What I Had

A hot favourite, the Crab Meat Linguine ($16.90) was essentially a tomato based pasta, tossed with aromatic herbs and topped with fresh crab meat. Don’t let the simplicity of the dish fool you, with humble ingredients comes plenty of punch. Easily becoming a recipe for comfort food.

For drinks, we got the ever so creamy Caramel Latte ($6.50) and a Root Beer Float ($5.50) with a scoop of wholesome vanilla straight from their varied assortment!

Another popular hit, the Egg Lava Beef Burger ($16.90) made with a juicy beef patty, an abundance of bacon and topped with rich, gooey cheese. “What Lava?” you may ask. Well, the sensational twist here is what lies at the core of the burger, and that is…… a half-boiled egg! Without a doubt, each bite will leave you wanting more.


What I Loved

The creativity and experimental feel of the bistro is what draws you in. With the savvy food creations and fresh ideas that constantly inspire their menu, they manage to keep patrons on their toes. Not forgetting, of course, the affordability of the unique dishes continue to intrigue both regulars and newbies alike to the bistro.
