Located on the second floor of the neighbourhood mall, you will find a new little eatery with an adorably welcoming charm. The menu offers diners mainly western cuisine like your conventional plates of pasta and servings of steak. They also boast a humble array of waffle options for those with a sweet tooth.
What I Had
Being naturally inclined to cream-based kinds of pasta, I gave in to the Classic Carbonara ($10.90). Served with onions, garlic, and bacon this yummy dish scored big with my tummy. Not to mention, how many Carbonaras come topped with a soft boiled egg? The staff was even nice enough to add some mushrooms and prawns to the tasty concoction.
To go along with our meals, the Mushroom soup ($4.90) was both savoury and rich in flavour.
Next up, we also got the Grass Fed Ribeye Steak with black pepper sauce ($15.90) which was well done. Served with a side of fries and salad as well, the steak itself was a little tough for my liking but still, it faired pretty well. After all how often do you chance upon $15 steaks am I right??
For drinks, we ordered the ever so curious, Mystic Crystal ($6.90) which essentially was a refreshingly blue soda along with an Iced Latte ($6.90) which we found to be a tad expensive.
What I Loved
Though there isn’t much correlation between the name of the eatery and the menu, they sure have a warm family vibe which is bound to reel in diners of all ages. The casual dining ambience coupled with affordable prices are sure to keep both present and future foodies happy. What’s more, the cosy little joint doesn’t charge GST nor service charge!
