The latest addition to the market-style eateries, a la Marche or even Pasarbella. The garden-themed ambience is what you will notice immediately with greenery spouting out from each crevice and cranny. The ‘cashless’ experience is further enhanced with your very own buzzers provided upon entry to record your orders and payments.
What I Had
First up, Beef Bulgogi Tacos ($13) from the Daebak Korean stall. With a whole bunch of rice bowls and Korean taco options to choose from, these were definitely on a different level altogether with the beef tacos being topped off with their very own “chilli-soy-slaw” and lime cilantro relish (which made it all too sour). Naturally, I was not a fan though the beef on its own was pretty yummy.
The Mac & Cheese ($10), from the Flour & Water stall, was essentially fusilli pasta baked with an abundance of sharp cheddar along with onions and topped with breadcrumbs and peas. This one actually tickled my fancy with its cheesiness and extra crunch from the breadcrumbs however for the price, one would say its a tad bit much.
Finally, my favourite, the Butadon ($14) + Miso Soup ($2) + Poached Onsen Egg ($2) from the Ezo Hokkaido Eats stall. The rice bowl was topped with generous portions of grilled pork slathered in a savoury teriyaki sauce topped with the additional Poached Onsen Egg and peas. Without a doubt, would order it again.
