It’s easy to walk about Telok Ayer and not chance across this lil spot. After all, compared to the hip bars and modish eateries, Mojo is indeed quite minimalistic. Their menu offers fresh and creative bowls, catering to each and every taste bud.
What I Had
The Yakiniku & Onsen Tamago bowl ($24) I had, came with a generous serving of beef shabu, topped with a centred egg and scrumptious scallions all buried under a bed of rice. Safe to say, this one didn’t spend too much time on the table and was almost immediately wolfed down with satisfaction. The Asian glaze on this mixed with the heavenly chunks of beef really made my mouth water.
Yakitori Dondon ($22) was a rice bowl served scallions and not one but 4 sticks of tenderly grilled chicken thigh sticks. The meat itself was succulent and juicy, a little bit charred, but just enough to release the flavourful juices which paired nicely with the glaze.
Finally, for drinks we got the Asahi Light beer ($15) to wash down a blissful meal on a chill evening.
What I Loved
They offer their patrons a wide variety of options including both a lunch menu and a dinner menu. Though during lunch, you have more options to take your pick for their FOMO inducing Protein bowls, the dinner options are equally as delectable. Apart from the good food, this noshery will have you whipping out your cameras to seize aesthetically pleasing photos for the gram!
