Touted as a micro-roaster by day, restaurant and wine bar by night, the former garage even has a backyard garden. The array of dishes offered on the menu aren’t your typical, everyday entrees you find at your local brunch spot. A refreshing twist? The dishes themselves bear no names and are described solely with the ingredients used.
What I Had
The first dish to arrive at our table, was the Buttermilk fried chicken flatbread, slaw, pickled, candied chilli, Thai basil, red Nahm Jim ($26). The chicken itself was tender and was very well complimented with the delightful bursts of flavour from the basil and chilli. Accompanied by the soft flatbread, this was quite the treat.
Another favourite of mine was the Steak, fried egg, hash brown, mushroom, confit shallots, mustard jus ($29). Though one might consider the steak to be the star of the show, for me, the generous serving of sauteed mushrooms sealed the deal. Together with the yummy shallots and hash brown, this one thoroughly satisfying.
Last but not least, the Market fish ceviche poké bowl, rice, pickled/raw vegetables, avocado, wasabi ($25). For those who look for a healthier option, this is a good choice. Loaded with an abundance of greens, avocado and a plentiful helping of cubed salmon, the poké bowl was indeed wholesome.
What I Loved
Both the atmosphere and layout of the cafe mimics that of an actual garage with industrial-looking fittings and a warehouse-esque vibe. Naturally, with good brews, an IG-worthy ambience and scrumptious
